inSets for Infor XA

inSets (data mapping) are ready packaged for major areas of Infor XA. Further inSets are being developed and existing inSets expanded based on feedback from users.

Currently, inSets for Infor XA cover 7 defined Business Areas, as follows:

  • Customer Order Management
  • Purchasing / Procurement
  • Inventory Management
  • Manufacturing
  • Engineering
  • IFM Financials
  • AM Financials

The information included in our standard inSets is designed to meet the needs of the majority of  customers. If necessary Momentum will, at no additional charge, include additional information into a standard inSet to accommodate / reflect your company’s specific needs and / or your implementation of  (subject to the changes needed, in Momentum's opinion, not altering the intent of the inSet(s) involved). This ensures that your company can successfully utilize each business area purchased without worrying about any unforeseen customization costs.

In addition, we supply a range of inTuates (reports / views) to complement the inSets and enable immediate use of inTuator. These Sample inTuates can be easily tuned to present information in the way your users want to see it. Equally, it is very straightforward to create an inTuate from scratch!

Customer Order Management

Information and its analysis are critical components to accurately and quickly address customer requirements and demands. Having that information available when and how you need it is crucial to bringing success to the managing of customer relationships, as well as success in overall sales performance. inTuator simplifies the complexities of the database and presents the user with the capability of seeing summary or detailed information, multi-dimensional tables and charts, as well as linking out to information in other key business areas in order to fulfill their tasks at hand. Users will be enabled to analyze current backlog, historical shipments, product requirements, demographics and more.

The Customer Order Management Business Area provides information about both open customer orders and shipped order history delivering to you:

  • Critical day-to-day analysis concerning orders, credit memos, quotes and  standing orders, and 
  • Follow-on information analysis of sales performance and customer order fulfillment effectiveness.

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Company, Order and Shipment Status, Year Quarter and Month Invoiced and Shipped, Region, Territory, Sales Rep, Sales Family, Sales Group, Customer, Customer Class, Item, Item Type, and Item Class. 

Totals of Open Quantity, Order Quantity, Release Quantity, Shipped Quantity, Backordered Quantity, Sales and Cost can be generated for the levels described above. 

inSets are provided in a hierarchy, some inSets are designed to provide high level analysis and some provide analysis to an individual customer order.

Purchasing / Procurement 

Knowing how well you are managing critical vendor partnerships, as well as having optimum visibility to analyzing the performance of your buyers are key success elements to the procurement side of Supply Chain Management. inTuator provides a closely integrated look at the buyer and vendor performance portion of the database, enabling you to spot and analyze potential problems quickly and efficiently. You are provided with Purchasing / Procurement analysis information critical to helping your buyers perform at the highest and most profitable levels.

The Purchasing / Procurement Business Area includes:

  • Information encompassing buyer and vendor performance for purchased materials, with analysis by product
  • Detailed purchase order and line item information. 

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Item, Item Type, Item Class, Warehouse, Sales Family, Sales Group, Year Quarter and Month Completed and Due. 

Totals include delivered, dock inspection, returned and scrap quantities, Late and Early Orders, Over and Under Shipments.

Inventory Management 

Being able to quickly analyze all aspects of the data associated with Inventory Management within your business is essential to keeping product moving out the door, and at a profit. Whether the need of your users is to keep an eye on costs, track inventory movement and stock levels within the manufacturing process, or do the final analysis of sales and associated costs, inTuator provides clear and effective, multi-dimensional presentations of that information - just the way each user needs to see it and work with it.

The Inventory Management Business Area provides: 

  • Costing information covering details of current and standard costs per item at the item level, along with the totals of current and standard costs for the lower, component levels. 
  • Inventory commitment information covering quantities allocated, available, on hand, on order and pending. The safety stock level is also available along with the re-order quantity trigger amount. 
  • Sales activity information providing Period-to-Date and Year-to-Date totals of cost, issued quantities, sales, scrap cost, scrap quantity, sold quantity and used quantity. 

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Item, Item Type, Item Class, Warehouse, Sales Family and Sales Group. 

Totals include the various costs at the current level and lower levels, various overall quantities, sales and cost figures.

Manufacturing 

Making sense and keeping track of all the database information relating to the manufacturing process can be a daunting task, especially, if you need to be able to bring all aspects of that information together for performance analysis and decision making. inTuator is designed to do just that -- bringing down to the users desktop routing information and material costing for items being produced, in easy-to-use drill-down, multi-dimensional presentations, complete with dynamic tables and charts.

The Manufacturing Business Area makes available information that covers:

  • Work center and product line loads with routing information, enabling the tracking of order statuses, operations and the facilities involved. 
  • Material usage throughout the production process
  • Component item details and overall manufacturing progress with a variety of costs and quantities.

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Item, Item Type, Item Class, Component, Warehouse, Sales Family, Sales Group, Year Quarter and Month Scheduled, Started, Completed and Due. 

Totals include Actual, Labor, Miscellaneous, Overhead, Receipt and Setup costs.

Engineering

inTuator brings together the detailed engineering information concerning your products into simple and efficient presentations, with drill-down to individual operations within the routings and the enabling of sophisticated linking out to the component information as needed. All of this is provided to the users with their own customizable, dynamic tables and charts, making the tasks of day-to-day engineering decision making and business analysis more accessible. You will empower your users with the ability to analyze the overall accuracy of bill of materials, quickly and easily spot discrepancies in routings and operations and bring a greater confidence concerning the overall engineering database.

The Engineering Business Area inSets provide:

  • Routing information, showing the time required for set up, run labor and run machine time for each operation for an item. Includes component materials linked to the operations.
  • Where used analysis capability
  • Component information that includes the quantity of each component required to produce a standard batch of each item.

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Item, Item Type, Item Class, Component, Sales Family and Sales Group. 

Totals of Run Labor, Run Machine and Setup Labor can be generated for the levels described above.

International Financial Management 

Whether it's a high level analysis of the financial side of your business, or the need to get at the [transaction] heart of the matter, inTuator sorts through the complex IFM database and presents the financial information at the level that each user needs. The International Financial Management Business Area provides analysis information about:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • General Ledger. 

Levels (that can be designed into Row, Page and Column areas of an inTuate) include Transaction, Ledger, Unit, Nature, Period, Administrative Division, Financial Division, Payment List id, Settlement Method, Cash Book, Ledger, Invoice and Entity. 

Totals include Credit, Debit, Gross, Discount and Amount Paid inSets are provided in a hierarchy, some inSets are designed to provide high level analysis and some provide analysis to an individual transaction.

Accounting Management

Totals include Invoice Amount, Amount Received, Adjustment Amount, and Cash Discount Amount.
